Home Assistance Program: Eastern Counties

The Home Assistance Program is offered to residents of the city of Cornwall, and is designed to respond to the needs of seniors and the physically challenged.

The Program is meant to ease the burdens of home care, and offers the following services:

Regular Cleaning

  • Dusting
  • Vacuuming
  • Cleaning bathrooms
  • Washing & waxing floors
  • Cleaning countertops & appliances (exterior)
  • Laundry
  • Ironing
  • Shopping

Spring & Fall Cleaning

  • Washing windows (in/out frames & tracks)
  • Washing cupboards (interior / exterior)
  • Washing ceilings & walls
  • Washing drapes
  • Cleaning/washing light fixtures, ceiling fans & appliances (interior)

Handy-Man

  • Mowing the lawn
  • Snow removal
  • Painting (minor touch-ups)
  • Cleaning eaves troughs)
  • Rototilling
  • Trimming hedges & trees
  • Minor repairs

Our goal is to assist seniors and physically disabled persons to maintain full independent lives while remaining in their homes. With the help of community volunteers, Carefor home support programs offer a variety of services such as:

  • Diner's Club *
  • Meals on Wheels *
  • Transportation *
  • Health & Wellness Clinics
  • Group Exercise Programs
  • Social/Recreational Activities
  • Security Checks/Reassurance
  • Friendly Visiting (for seniors, physically disabled adults & palliative care clients)
