Services provided by Carefor Health & Community Services from in-home nursing care to respite programs would not be possible without our donors.

Donors allow Carefor Health & Community Services to provide an extensive basket of home health care programs and community services, as well as excellent health care provider training and numerous projects that benefit our community.

Examples of programs and services supported by fundraised dollars:

  • Transportation to and from Adult Day Programs for clients with dementia, who are unable to use the regular bus system
  • Subsidies to clients who can not afford a service or program, when full funding is not available
  • Purchasing of equipment for our eight nursing clinics which provide an alternative for clients in need of home care
  • Ongoing education and training to health care providers whom deliver Carefor services
  • Maintenance cost for our buildings, including the Carling nursing clinics and the Guest House
  • Purchasing of equipment such as a generator for the Richmond Care Home; a retirement residence for women with dementia

Monthly Giving

Carefor offers a convenient Monthly Giving program, where donors can arrange monthly pre-authorized payments to Carefor Health and Community Services. You determine the amount you wish to contribute, which can be changed or stopped altogether at any time. For more information, please contact us at 613-749-7557 x2147 or by email at info@carefor.ca.

In Memoriam donation

Our donors often wish to dedicate their gift to a friend or loved one who has passed away. Families of deceased individuals who wish to make In Memoriam donations to Carefor should notify the funeral home of their intention. Carefor Health and Community Services will acknowledge all In Memoriam donations with a special letter mailed to the next of kin of the deceased.

Leaving a legacy

Donors who wish to leave a lasting legacy to their community may choose to include Carefor Health & Community Services in their last will and testament.

By making bequests and "planned gifts", you can continue to help Carefor make an important difference in your community.

What better way to thank the people or organizations that have had an impact on your life, than to make a contribution from your estate through a bequest?

If you would like more information on making a bequest to Carefor Health & Community Services, please contact our Fundraising Officer at (613) 749-7557 or click here.

Donor Benefits

As a donor you will receive regular updates on how your dollars are being used through regular correspondence and donor newsletters, delivered twice a year. Our fundraising department can also provide you with pamphlets and other information on the many areas of our operations.

Donor Preferences

At Carefor Health & Community Services we are responsive to your preferences as a donor. Some donors prefer to receive a set number of donation requests, or donation requests only at certain times of the year. Others prefer to make regular donations through pre-paid electronic payments. Some prefer not to be included on mailing lists at all. Others have a particular area of interest in Carefor Health & Community services where they would like their donations to be directed to. The choice is yours. Our Fundraising department will ensure your donor preferences are respected.
