OTTAWA—June 14, 2012. Carefor Health & Community Services is celebrating National Laughter Day on June 21 with a barbeque and an exclusive shopping experience.

You’re invited to join Carefor staff and volunteers at 760 Belfast Rd. between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. to share a laugh while helping raise funds to support the charitable work of Carefor.

It’s the first day of summer, so start the season off by indulging in the proven healing laughter brings. A powerful stress-buster, laughter can renew your energy.

And laughter’s free—just like the BBQ. For a donation, grab lunch and hunt through the goodies on offer at the trunk show. Pampered Chef kitchenware, Stella and Dot jewellery, Epicure Selections herbs and spices, and BeautiControl cosmetics will be on site. They will donate 20% of sales to Carefor.

There will be lots of reasons to laugh with a fundraising campaign to “Be Looney, Give a Loonie.” Donate a dollar to hear a side-splitting joke. The money raised will go towards the purchase of new medical chairs for the nursing clinics on Belfast Rd. and Carling Ave that provide medical treatments to people who are mobile.

Laughter has the power to connect people and Carefor invites you to help make June 21 a day of fun and giving.
