Guest House
Carefor established the respite care Guest House in 2007 as a joint project between Carefor, The Alzheimer's Society of Ottawa and The Perley and Rideau Veteran's Health Centre. The 12-bed Guest House provides round-the-clock care during short-stay admissions for people with mild to moderate Alzheimer's Disease and other related dementias.
Taking a break from caregiving relieves some of the stress. It is always beneficial to take a break, and Carefor can provide you with this in the form of the Guest House.
Guest House stays can range from a few hours to up to 90 days. Guests are invited to partake in a number of activities, including music, crafts, gardening, sharing conversation, walks, baking, and much more.
