Volunteer Visiting Programs

The Carefor Health & Community Services Pembroke-Renfrew County office provides companionship to clients via Friendly Visiting and Palliative Visiting programs to communities in the region.

The Friendly Visiting program consists of volunteer visitors who provide friendship to those who are isolated or lonely.

Under the Palliative Visiting program, trained volunteers provide supportive care to terminally ill individuals and their families. Support is also provided to families during bereavement. The Palliative Visiting program extends and compliments health care and community services provided by the Carefor Pembroke-Renfrew County office.
