About Carefor: Not-for-profit home health care since 1897

For 115 years, Carefor Health & Community Services, a registered charity, has been keeping families together longer at home by providing home health care and community support services. From nursing to personal care, assisted living options and respite services to support caregivers and families with loved ones living with Alzheimer’s or other dementias, Carefor services continue to meet the needs of the local communities we serve.

Carefor's special brands of wound treatment, care, palliative care, personal support, retirement living and many others go unmatched in today's fast-paced health care system, and our commitment to clients, volunteers and staff is unwavering. We are proud to deliver all services by trained health care professionals as part of our ongoing educational initiatives.

Carefor services are available to the residents of Ottawa, the Eastern Counties and Pembroke-Renfrew County. Aside from the option of receiving care at home, there are also a number of conveniently located offices to better serve your care needs, including offices in Ottawa, Cornwall and Pembroke, as well as satellite offices in Hawkesbury, Glengarry, Stormont, Dundas and more.
