Monday (Ingleside) - 9:30am-2:30pm

Tuesday (Winchester) - 9:30am-2:30pm

Thursday (Finch) - 9:30am-2:30pm

Adult Day Programs are designed for seniors who are experiencing physical and/or memory challenges or are living with a chronic illness. They play a key role in helping people to remain living in their community as long as possible by optimizing their level of physical, social and emotional function. Adult Day Programs also provide supervised respite for caregivers.

Recreation:

The staff facilitates many different types of programs throughout the day for the clients to enjoy. These may include:

  • Fitness, strength and balance
  • Cognitive Exercise
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Word/Board games
  • Trivia
  • Pet Therapy
  • Gardening
  • Music
  • Baking and cooking
  • Outings
  • Reminiscing
  • Themed Activity Days

Meals & Dietary:

  • Morning snack and beverage
  • Full hot lunch and dessert
  • Some diet restrictions and special requests can be accomodated

Transportation: CCTC

If needed, staff can arrange transportation for your day, either with our agency bus or van, or by a volunteer driver using their own vehicle. A fee may apply if you live outside of our catchment area. caregivers are unable to drive their loved ones to and from the Day Program, Carefor will try to provide transportation.

How do I apply for the Day Program?

You can join our Adult Day Program through many different ways of referral, such as:

  • Self-referral
  • Family members
  • Caregivers
  • Your local CCAC office

What will happen next?

  • CCAC will contact you or your caregiver to set up an assessment
  • CCAC will send a referral to the Adult Day Coordinator
  • The Adult Day Coordinator will contact you to set up a time to meet and discuss suitability or wait list (if needed)
