Befriending Program: Eastern Counties

Friends are the people in our lives who laugh at  our jokes, listen to us when we are troubled, and lend a hand when they can. Being a good friend means helping someone else, but also means being open to growing and learning as individuals thorugh our friendships.

To have a friend, you’ve got to be a friend!

The Carefor Befriending Program matches volunteers with men and women with physical disabilities. Through this new relationship, both individuals will have the opportunity to exlore mutual interests, enhancing their quality of life.

There are endless possibilities for how these new friends will interact with one another such as:

  • Befriending program swimming
Bonding time for our volunteers and clients!
    Going to the movies
  • Having dinner together
  • Shopping
  • Chatting over coffee
  • Going for walks
  • Going to various sporting events (baseball, hockey, football, etc)
  • Getting involved in numerous sport activities
  • Karaoke

Through the Befriending Program, Carefor Eastern Counties, works to enhance the quality of life for both men and women living with physical challenges.
